About us

From our base in rural West Dorset we create beautiful and practical items for you to enjoy.

At our newly coverted listed farm buildings we produce a wide range of wooden craft items and fabulous paintings often on recycled wood. We share the farm yard with New House Pottery a co-operative of four potters who produce lovely ceramics. http://www.newhousepottery.co.uk/

Michelle, our resident artist trained at the Falmouth school of art, is influenced by folk tales and art from around the world, her current obsession is with mermaids, often painted on pieces of driftwood found on the beautiful Dorset coastline.

Martin is a highly skilled basketmaker and world renowned wood worker. Martin's influences are varied as he has travelled around the world to learn basket making techniques. Working for many years as a wildlife ranger martin has a wide knowledge of the natural history of the UK.

Jon is a self taught woodturner and makes very practical as well as beautiful eating bowls and plates. He is also very keen to get the most from a piece of wood using offcuts for smaller pieces. Jon also runs our mobile sawmill which allows us to aquire much of our timber from local and sustainable sources.
